Bloques Poblenou is a sculpture/blocks game made using photos of the neighborhood Poblenou in Barcelona in 2015. This is a neighborhood in the process of reinvention where old mills and warehouses are being converted for new uses. Modern glass towers rise beside empty lots and urban development is experimental. Poblenou means "New Town". In this game, every time you play with the blocks, you build a new town.

With little more than an anvil and a small box of tools, successive generations of jewelers in West Africa have developed a style of working in silver and gold admired the world over. While many books have been published documenting jewelry artifacts of Africa, few have documented the makers, their process and their traditions -- until now.

This is a promotional video I edited in support of a new book release from Brynmorgen Press: Legacy: Jewelry Techniques of West Africa. The images were captured by the book's author, Matthieu Cheminée. More at www.brynmorgen.com/legacy.html.

This mural occupies a wall at the Lightbox Kulturhaus in Portland, Oregon. Underlying the tranquility of our scene, there is always the underlying threat of earthquakes and volcanos. Some day the Tsunami will come, and that is why we all must undergo Earthquake Preparedness Training.

A rough stop-motion showing the work that went into this Tsunami mural at the Lightbox Kulturhaus in Stumptown, Oregon.

The good people from Plataforma per la Qualitat de l´Aire in Barcelona joined forces with the Barcelona chapter of Crital Mass to put together a nice bike ride-social jam-protest. My job was to paint a mural that would greet the riders as they arrived at Can Ricart for music and refreshments. Here´s a nice video documenting the event.
